» I braved the dragon and survived - so far!

Well, I went ahead and posted some notes about wheelies and martial arts to the Ilyokwan forums. So far the response has been really positive, so I’m hoping that the notes have started some people thinking how they can offer some sort of self-defence training to wheelies.

It was actually kind of hard to write it all down, most of it is concepts inside my head that are hard to put into words. RiK helped a lot, letting me try to explain stuff to him in IM first.

So, that’s a good thing for this week.

Cute quote for the week - “This person for whatever reason is hostile to the message of the gospel I preach”. this from Jerry Falwell about someone he grabbed the website of. For whatever reason my butt, the reason is quite simple - the message of the gospel he preaches is one of intolerance, amongst other things. Any hostility he thinks he’s getting is simply returning the favour for the hostility his “message” generates. What gets me is he thinks he’s somehow a “good” person - by castigating, denigrating, and persecuting others because they don’t live according to his standards.

Someone should remind him to be a little less selective about just what message of the gospel he preaches. There’s this really cute part in it that goes “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”. Unless you think you’re a saint, Mr Falwell, I don’t think you’re really qualified to criticize anyone.
