Regular visitors may have noticed a few minor changes to the site today …

The original “red” theme was put together in somewhat of a hurry, but it was missing a lot of the features I like to include in my site designs. I decided to create a new theme “from scratch” and “do it properly”, and this is the current result.

The theme is a port of one originally written for Joomla from SiteGround (though I can’t remember the name).

The accessible design wouldn’t have been possible anywhere near as practically without the invaluable input of Mel from the Out Of Hours forums, whose feedback and ideas for both low-vision and screen reader assistive tech aspects of the site was invaluable!

The theme is still a “work in progress”, some areas are still devoid of proper formatting, and the colour-changer system doesn’t yet remember settings between pages. I switched the themes over at this stage to get some idea of what work still needs to be done in its “live” setting.

During April I’ll be working to upgrade the MWE servers, but once that’s done I’ll be creating and releasing a new multi-layered Magess One tube.

Please, let me know what you think of the theme so far!

As part of upgrading some of my older servers, this site was moved to a new home and WordPress upgraded at the same time.
